Dear Ones, The Lord has sent me help for a few months with Kyle Carlisle and Megan Hanson, both graduates of Summit Christian College this year. They are assisting with the teaching of Bible Studies and helping with the Kid's Club. Kyle has also gotten involved playing the drum at St Johns Community Church where I attend and has helped reorganize the irrigation system in my orchard. Megan will be going to a Ladies Conference this coming weekend. So, all in all, they have settled in well and are getting used to tales of snakes and leopards and Megan to wall spiders and ghekos in the house she is staying in. The weather has been hot and cold and hot and cold here - waiting for the spring rains. A little black sunbird has built a nest by the front veranda and a dwarf mongoose has also taken up residence there so that is fun to watch. Kid's Club has been meeting outside for a few weeks while the church building walls have gone up. I will be glad when we can meet inside with all 700 or 800 of them as it will be easier to keep their attention. The sun has been really hot as well, but last week the Lord gave us some cloud cover and that helped a lot. We're busy making preparations for Christmas celebrations with the kids - one day of special sausage rolls, yogurts and cool drink and another day in which we give them gifts - hoping to do t-shirts this year instead of toys, but still trying to source them at a good price. We had decided not to have one big party as crowd control is just too difficult. Please pray with us about all this as we want to bless the children who come so faithfully every week to Kid's Club. We just want to do it right so they can be blessed. Kyle and Megan are also going to be helping the youth with school subjects, especially maths. So the next few weeks before exams will be busy with that. I've nearly got the next issue of The Source ready for publishing. You will be able to read it on here in the Resources Page soon!
